What Happens if an Item Is Damaged or Destroyed During My Move, Am I Covered? Do You Offer Other Valuation/Protection Packages?"Valuation is not insurance; it is simply a tariff-based level of motor carrier liability. If you desire insurance, you should consult with your insurance company representative about available insurance coverages, because Love’s Pro Moving does not offer insurance. We take great care to prevent loss or damage to your goods, however, accidents do happen, so we offer two protection programs for your consideration: 1) Love’s Pro Moving maximum liability for loss or damage to any article in the shipment is $.60 cents multiplied by the weight of the article. This is the basic liability level and is provided to you at no charge. 2) Should our valuation/protection coverage of $.60 per pound not meet your needs, we work with a 3rd party company as another option for protection. We can provide you with their contact information upon request. It should be noted this is a 3rd party arrangement meaning the relationship is between you and the company, not Love’s Pro Moving (we aren’t compensated whatsoever for our referrals). Please note: Our claims process takes between 30 and 60 days to complete.
